It's necessary to grant read only rights to employees because if they have read-write access, editing competency records in Quadrant Self Service will result in their competency history in Quadrant being overwritten with the new, edited record from Quadrant Self Service. This could affect any pay premiums an employee receives for certifications such as CPR. This is not an issue for applicants, so they are able to edit their competency records in Quadrant Self Service.
